Ukrainian Legal Aid Foundation presents materials "ATO: protection of the rights and legitimate interests of servicemen and their families" for lawyers who provide free legal aid.
Today the main issue in the field of social security of servicemen is the complexity of the procedures for obtaining legal aid. Together with a wide range of specialists in the subject the Foundation in cooperation with Coordinating centre for legal aid providing with the support of Program Initiative "Human Rights and Justice" of International Renaissance Foundation prepared materials, that are designed specifically for lawyers that can help ATO participants and their families effectively implement their social rights.
One of the authors of the guidebook is a lawyer of Information Resource Center "Legal Space" Volodymyr Orlovsky.
"I was lucky to be among the authors of this book. It is the results of the training for lawyers "Legal aid for participants of hostilities in Eastern Ukraine." Military records management, mobilization, contracts, social security, desertion, medicine, veteran status - I tried to convey my 2-year experience to our colleagues that provide free secondary legal aid", commented Volodymyr Orlovsky.
Soon the printed version of the book will appear in the government Centers and the Bureau offices, offices of Legal Development Network, public receptions of Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union and in legal clinics of the universities of Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine.
