To interact with the government, obtain versatile tools that will enable to reach different levels with specific proposals to improve the lives of Roma communities – those were issues presented to representatives of public organizations in the training organized by International Renaissance Foundation in late July in Kyiv.
Another trial that united criminal proceedings on charges against the Roma teenager was held on 23 June 2016. As a result, the teenager was placed under the parental supervision. Human rights activists hope that this session was the last and finally completed the chain of accusations against the minor, which, in their opinion, had evidence of double discrimination.
On February 22, 2016 an underage Roma IDP was released in Kharkiv. The lawyer, Chairman of Chuhuiv human rights group Roman Lykhachov published the relevant post on his FB page. Lawyers and human rights defenders, who since January of this year have been keeping on monitoring the case of the unfairly imprisoned guy, can celebrate the first considerable win in court.
