School of Roma Activist will work in Lviv (+ applicant's profile)

In the School of Roma Activist, which will be held in Lviv in the fall of 2017, young Roma activists will receive practical skills and knowledge that will enable them to rally the team and implement initiatives that address Roma issues throughout Ukraine. The best participants in the School will be able to join the organization and holding the Roma Youth Forum 2018.

People of different nationalities of different ages and professions came to the International Roma Holocaust Remembrance Day on August 2 to commemorate the Roma who were tortured in the beginning of the Second World War. The musical poetic composition "Babi Yar. Let's live, Roma!” was presented by Roma Academic Music and Drama Theater "Romance".

Representatives of Legal Development Network offices that work with civil society organizations travel to other countries in order to take advantage of the positive experience of work of foreign NGOs and implement it on the territory of our state. And recently they returned from Georgia, where they studied at the International School of Municipal Policy in Tbilisi, organized by the International Center for Municipal Democracy in partnership with the Legal Development Network with the support of International Renaissance Foundation.

Murder in Vilshany: impunity of perpetrators can lead to systematic harassment of Roma

The tragedy in the village of Vilshany of the Kharkiv region, where the Roma were killed, gave rise to a press briefing on May 26 at the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center. Human rights activists and a representative of the Ombudsman talk about the systematic manifestations of xenophobia, the inaction of the authorities and urge the National Police to investigate hate crimes.
