Almost half of Ukrainians do not know anything about the activities of human rights organizations. Only about 9% of the polled Ukrainians indicated that they are quite well-informed about the activities of such organizations, while about 42% have some limited information, and about 49% do not know anything about them.
Human rights defenders urge the government and Parliament to make a step towards Crimea in 2017 and change legislation that restricts human rights, in respect of persons who have moved or live in the Crimea. This was stated by the Head of the Information Human Rights Center Tatiana Pechonchyk at a press conference in Kyiv.

On June 14 outside the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine there was a theatrical rally of internally displaced persons and residents of Kyiv "For our and your rights!" The protesters opposed the adoption of the amendments to the Regulation No. 637 that establishes the procedure for appointment (renewal) of social benefits to IDPs and the monitoring of social benefits to internally displaced persons.
On June 1, 2016 the monitoring group consisted of the regional communications coordinator of the Ombudsman in the Transcarpathian region Oleg Grygoriev and independent public monitors of the national preventive mechanism Larysa Romaniuk and Natalia Kozyr checked how human rights in penitentiaries and pre-trial detention of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – the guardhouse in the Uzhgorod zone Department of the Military Service of Law and Order of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
