Legal Aid Bureau offices started working in all regions of Ukraine

On 1 September 2016 more than 400 Legal Aid Bureaus offices started providing services in the districts and cities of regional significance in Ukraine (except the temporarily occupied territories). Every resident of the territorial community can get free advice on legal issues and use the electronic services of the Ministry of Justice.

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decree, thereby launching the process of an initiative to set up across the country 428 legal aid bureau offices of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine which was presented by the Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko. It became known about on 11 January 2016 on the results of the Government meeting.

Over 400 legal aid bureau offices will be created in Ukraine

Over 400 legal aid bureau offices will start serving citizens since July 1, 2016. Everyone will be able to use electronic services of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and to receive free primary legal aid (legal information and consultations) there.

Cabinet of Ministers offers to expand the circle of persons who can receive free legal aid at state expense

First Deputy Minister of Justice Natalia Sevostianova, Deputy Director of the Coordinating Center for Legal Aid Providing Myroslav Lavrinok, advisers to the Minister of Justice Igor Alekseev and Dmytro Storozhuk, and also the lawyer Bohdan Moiseenko who provides free legal aid reported about the decision of the Сabinet of Ministers at the general briefing held on September 11 in the House of the Government of Ukraine.
