In March 2017 Dvorichna Network Office started field reception of citizens in remote areas of the Dvorichna district, Kharkiv region.

Visits of the lawyers of the Office Vitaly Babyka with the Deputy head of Dvorichna Bureau of free legal aid (hereinafter – Bureau) Iuliia Ryabenko.

Lawyers visited the villages of Bogdanivske, Tavilzhanka, Vilshana and Pershotravneve.

If last year, field meetings were conducted solely on the basis of villages where there are Executive committees of village councils, this year the geography expanded to make legal aidavailable to residents of the small and most remote villages.

In particular, on March 24, 2017, the lawyers visited the village of Pershotravneve, which is located at a distance of 30 km from the district center. Despite the fact that the village is home to about 300 people, 11 people asked appointment for individual consultations.

The demand confirms that the need for free legal aid exists in all corners of the district.

Another positive change in comparison with last year was using visibility of the Legal Development Network during field visits, which certainly contributes to the identification of the providers of such services.

In general, lawyers provided 30 consultations in remote communities.

The next month lawyers expect 3 field visits. Totally, 20 visits will be carried out in the course of the year.

Field meetings are implemented by the NGO "Dvorichna Rural Communities Foundation" in the framework of the Project "Development of the Dvorichna Network Office, expanding the geography of its influence ", which is implemented with the support of “Human Rights and Justice” Program Initiative of International Renaissance Foundation.
