The State Employment Service (Central Office) and the Coordinating centre for legal aid providing joined forces with the aim of providing to citizens access to free legal aid: on November 1 they signed the Memorandum of cooperation.
The document was signed by Deputy Chairman of the State Employment Service (Central office) Serhiy Kravchenko and the Director of the Coordinating center for legal aid providing Andriy Vyshnevsky.
In the framework of cooperation it is assumed that working places for specialists of centers providing free secondary legal aid and Legal Aid Bureau offices will be equipped in all employment centers of Ukraine. Therefore, visitors to the employment centers will be able to get advice on legal issues, as well as access to other types of legal aid.
"Every day we help about 3,000 Ukrainians find jobs, and our centers are visited by tens of thousands of people. The fact that now it is be possible to obtain legal advice on any issues in the employment centers indicates that the state services become increasingly high-quality and accessible for Ukrainians. I am convinced that such cooperation between the Employment Service and the Coordinating center for legal aid providing will help hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians", said Serhiy Kravchenko.
"Today in Ukraine there are 544 points of access to free legal aid in all regions. More recently, they have been opened in regional centers and small towns. We are constantly working to expand access to free legal aid for local communities and make our services as close as possible to their needs. I am convinced that cooperation with employment centers in remote points of access to legal aid will contribute to a better implementation of the rights of citizens to labor and other labor rights," noted Andriy Vyshnevsky.

In the framework of the Memorandum the parties agreed that through the efforts of specialists of the state employment service and the system of free legal aid for the unemployed information activities aimed at raising legal awareness of the population regarding the protection of their rights will also be jointly carried out.
