On September 2 activists launched the website on which Ukrainians will be able to verify income and assets of officials and report on what they are hiding.
According to New Time website the Public Lustration Committee launched the service http://lku.org.ua/declaration through which Ukrainians can send information about undeclared assets, business and incomes of officials. Each message is reviewed by professional lawyers, who after verification will transmit the information to the National Anti-corruption Bureau.
A year ago lustration laws gave law enforcement the opportunity to find officials who have assets that can't be explained and dismiss them with a ban to hold public office for 10 years. The activists noted that the test of civil servants was completely failed by the State fiscal service and no law enforcement agency initiated any proceedings.
Now the Public Lustration Committee decided to entrust the property inspection officials to ordinary citizens.
“From now on Ukrainians can fill in the online form reports of non-compliance of the property or income of officials in comparison to their declarations. The form contains the possibility to check the information at once in five public registries and not simply to report violations, but to provide evidence”, the Chairman of the Public Lustration Committee Oleksandr Drik introduced the platform.

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on combating corruption Yegor Sobolev says that even the electronic declaration system did not work. After its "improvement" under the leadership of President, no declaration appeared on the website, law enforcement agencies largely ignore the investigative journalism, judges and did not make any accusation of the corruption for two years.
“All this work now can and must be done by the citizens. In fact, the anti-corruption laws were adopted for citizens. Conscious people know that their local judge is a bribe taker, the Prosecutor is a bribe taker who has a luxurious mansion... I have a huge request to all citizens: you have a weapon in your hands - the law, all ownership registers are open, finally you have the opportunity to convey information about the lies of officials in the returns to activists and journalists”, said Sobolev.
He promised that the proven facts of the property available, which the officials cannot explain, will also be considered in the Aanti-corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada and activists will make sure that every case after the investigation came to court.
