Session of deputies of 7th convocation of Kipti united territorial community
To provide access for residents of Kozelets district to free legal assistance, on June 15 the Director of Chernihiv local center for free secondary legal aid Volodymyr Bobruiko presented to the local deputies the draft programme of providing free legal aid to the population of the Kipti united territorial community in 2016 – 2018.
Deputies familiarized with the main objectives of the Programme: enhancing access to free legal aid for socially vulnerable layers of population; conducting awareness-raising campaigns; training of representatives of local authorities and other providers of free legal aid.
Also, Volodymyr Bobruiko stressed that the adoption and financing of the Programme will help residents of remote communities to obtain legal support to increase the level of trust in local authorities.
After the discussion the deputies unanimously voted for the adoption and funding of the Programme of providing free legal aid to the population of Kipti united territorial community in 2016 – 2018.
The amount of funds that will be allocated to the financing of the Programme comes to: for 2016 — 3750 UAH; for 2017 — 2700 UAH and for 2018 — 2700 UAH.
To implement the Programme the staff of the Chernihiv local center for FSLA organize and conduct outreach events for the poor, the disabled, war veterans, participants of combat actions (including ATO), children-orphans, children deprived of parental care, as well as other individuals interested in the observance of the rights and interests of these categories of the population, organization of communication activities with FSLA providers (business meetings, round tables, joint meetings, meetings of working/expert groups, etc.).
Also, booths with information on free legal aid will be hosted in the premises of partner institutions and other organizations that provide services to large number of population in the territorial community.
The Kipti united territorial community relates to the jurisdiction of the Chernihiv local center for FSLA, it is composed of 6 settlements with more than 3 thousand 800 people.
Development and adoption of the Programme was held under the auspices of the Chernihiv Public Committee of human rights protection in the framework of the project "Integration of primary and secondary free legal aid at the level of territorial communities of Chernihiv region".
