Two Centers united efforts for providing effective legal aid to residents of Volyn

In order to make an opportunity for people to receive quickly and effectively free legal aid two organizations that are engaged in providing legal advice in Volyn unite their efforts.

The mechanism of cooperation and interaction was developed during training that was held on January 26, 2016 in Kovel, employees of Law Community Center at Volyn Center of Legal Aid and Kovel Center for free secondary legal aid.

During training specialists of both Centers had a better idea of specifics of each other’s activities and target groups.

To make information more accessible to people the Centers decided to create a joint booklet with clear explanation of missions and visions of the organizations. They will be disseminated in all city and regional institutions. Employees of the Centers possess full information on each other’s work and will tell clients about opportunities of receiving the colleagues’ help. They hope that people will be happier with services of the Centers through applying such approach.

Specialists will gather monthly to discuss difficulties they face and how to solve them in a speedy manner in order to meet people’s needs. Everyone agreed on opinion that such training has to be conducted regularly as they are very useful, productive, interesting and effective.

A trainer and actually an initiator of the event is Olena Matviychuk (chairman of Volyn Center of Legal Aid).

Training was held within the "Increasing Access to Free Legal Aid to Vulnerable Segments of the Population in Seven Districts of Volyn Region" project supported by International Renaissance Foundation.
