The United Youth League (UYL) started its activity in Kamyanets-Podilskyi. This was announced on July 19 by youth activists in the press center of the Kamyanets-Podilsky City Council. The goal of the youth organization is to create a kind of platform for active youth’s communication and joint projects. The UYL has representatives from local organizations. Among them is Kamyanets-Podilsky Lawyers Association NGO, based on which the Office of the Legal Development Network operates. Lawyers of the Association will provide legal support to the newly created organization, as well as participate in the development of projects.
“Currently there is no qualitative platform in Kamyanets-Podilsky that would allow active and creative young people to communicate and unite for joint projects. We invited representatives of effective non-governmental organizations to create such an association”, said the initiator of the meeting, Yevhen Kasap.
The city already had an organization with the same name, it was popular among young people. Then, as noted by the local media, the Youth Parliament was formed on the basis of the association.
“There was a desire to restore a once popular organization... Earlier, the youth association "The United Youth League" was a popular initiative among the younger generation, which included public activists and representatives of creative youth. The idea to reunite the association came after the Youth Day, the celebration of which youth held on their own this year”, Yevhen told.
The initiative for the revival of the UYL was supported by many representatives of local organizations.
As the head of Kamyanets-Podilsky Lawyers Association Viktoria Ilchyshena noted, the statute and documents necessary for the legalization of the organization are currently being developed.
Lawyers of the Association help the UYL prepare these documents.
